Internship for the Data team, either in the Data Engineering team or/and Market Data Team. These teams sit within the Front Office and are the centre of quantitative development capability for EDF Trading. They have direct responsibility over the development and maintenance of EDF Trading’s data infrastructure. The group also provides other front office analytical tools for both traders and structurers, with the support of the other quantitative teams.
Develop to completion a small project to enrich the Data Analytics Platform.
Examples of previous projects have included:
• Degree qualified, preferably in Computer Science, or Maths or Physics.
• Knowledge of at least one structured programming language (preferably Python)
Nice to have skills
• Some knowledge of algorithms and data structures
• Knowledge of other programming languages (.Net, C#, C++)
• An interest in web-based development (Angular)
• A passionate and versatile technologist with
• Hands-on approach, flexible with a positive outlook.
• Attention to detail and strong focus on accuracy of information.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Hours of work 8.30am – 5.30pm / 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
