The Mobility, Energy, Environment and Health teams are seeking a Project Lead to lead the build-up of the “Alliance for Clean Air”, which aims to:
 develop a cohort of informed leaders to catalyse corporate and political will
 create a set of tools and facts, including a “situation analysis framework” at city level in key geographies as well as materials on the economic impact of air pollution and best practice case studies
 shape thought leadership and inform cutting-edge solutions for mitigating air pollution
 deliver action through multistakeholder initiatives and by increasing the level of funding to air pollution activities globally
 
The work will be executed in collaboration with the Clean Air Fund, a global philanthropic fund that is partnering with the Forum to catalyse initiatives to improve air quality globally. The Clean Air Fund will dispatch a part-time project lead to work with the Project Lead.
 
The Project Lead will have the opportunity to build and frame the initiative jointly with committed industry leaders and civil society partners, in particular the Clean Air Fund. The Forum is able to bring together a range of interested parties and is now at the point when a joint engagement and commitment-building process needs to be put in place. The position offers room for entrepreneurial spirit and would suit an individual with some experience in coalition building and policy development.
 
Reporting Lines and Interactions
The Project Lead will work under the guidance of the Head of Supply Chain and Transport, based in Geneva. Internally, the successful candidate will work with colleagues from the Centre for Global Industries, the Platforms for Future of Health, Energy and Mobility, the Platform for Global Public Goods (Climate Action and Food systems), the Business Engagement team, as well as the Cities team and industry leads covering related sectors. Externally, work will involve interactions with a range of stakeholders in Forum Partner companies in the health, energy, materials, mobility and environmentally focused industries.
 
Main responsibilities 
• Ensure the community derives value and meets the objectives of the project
• Communicate the vision, objectives and desired outcomes about the project with internal and external stakeholders
• Maintain good marketing materials for new partner development or engagement
• Strengthen community management and create opportunities for engagement of leaders in this space throughout the Forum’s global activities
• Assist with events planning and logistics for all project-related efforts
 
The successful candidate will be assessed on
• Ability to develop and implement engagement strategies, incorporating Forum-specific know-how and project management best practices throughout the team in the different offices and locations
• Delivery of agreed-upon events and logistics needs, project targets and measurable efforts to deepen engagement with partners
• Successful collaboration internally and with partner organizations
 
Preferred requirements and experience
• Advanced university degree in economics, engineering, public-policy or other relevant fields
• At least 7 to 10 years of professional experience, preferably in the transport and energy sectors, and/or international and non-government organizations
• Project management experience, including multistakeholder management
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
• Confident and proactive, with the ability to work with and influence senior internal and external stakeholders
