PROGRAMME DESIGN & IMPACT LEAD, YOUNG GLOBAL LEADERS
(Temporary position from February 2020 to December 2020)

The Forum of Young Global Leaders (YGL) is a preeminent community of over 1,300 global leaders, forging a new model of global governance in the Fourth Industrial Revolution and propelling human-centric societies that embrace technology. It is housed at and maintains close affilitation with the World Economic Forum.
The YGL programme engages business leaders committed to mobilizing sustainable and future-oriented business practices across their organizations, employees, and business partners; next generation political leaders constructing a peaceful and prosperous shared global future; and critical change-makers across cultural, social and scientific fields. Its aim is to mobilize these enterprising leaders as a collective to galvanize unity and inspire integrity within our fractured global landscape.
The YGL programme currently seeks to hone its focus on unique and stellar leadership development opportunities, and also to account for the difference these make it in the world more accurately. This role is designed to evaluate and strengthen the YGL programme offerings to ensure alignment to and achievement of the Foundation’s vision and mission.
Reporting Lines & Interactions:
The Programme Design and Impact Lead will report to Mariah Levin, Head of the Forum of Young Global Leaders. This role is based in Geneva.
Programme Design, Monitoring and Reporting
Operationalize the forward-thinking and cohesive programming strategy for YGL leadership development which clearly aligns the totality of programmatic offerings to the team vision and Responsible Leadership concept
Implement tracking and accountability framework to report on community outcomes and achievements effectively
Roll out the Collective Action Framework supported by the Foundation Board, particularly in advance of the 2020 Future of Leadership Summit
Liaise with Partnerships Team on outcomes reporting to develop potential partnerships
Support the design and delivery of the Future of Leadership Summit, in August 2020
Develop and roll-out a strategy for digital engagement to complement in person programming and advance collective goals, including supporting the team to develop effective ways of digital community building, maintaining and updating a comprehensive database of expertise and professional information, and profiling community achievements on social media
Support the YGL Environment track & engagement
Steward and coordinate the environmental impact track in collaboration with relevant YGLs, team members, Foundations communities and the broader Forum
Elaborate on the narrative around this track, its goals and its envisioned outcomes
Maintain the project plan and timeline to help guide the team of YGLs in pursuing outcomes, and delegate and hold the lead YGLs accountable to this project plan and timeline
Mobilize team collaborators to clearly represent the track, its goals and any support required to the YGL Community and broader Forum
Report on progress and provide narrative for Annual Report, blogs, to YGLs, in team meetings, across the Forum, etc.
Understand and capitalize on linkages between this track and the relevant work carried out by the Forum
Collaborate with team leadership and Partnerships to identify funding opportunities
Contribute to the selection process of YGL candidates from select European countries
The successful candidate will be assessed on:
Successfully supporting a cohesive YGL programme that demonstrates impact, on an individual and collective level
Successfully rolling out the Responsible Leadership concept across programming areas
Successfully conducting the selection of certain European countries’ YGLs
Successfully fostering the team’s skills in project management, monitoring and reporting
Supporting the public profile of the Forum of Young Global Leaders
Preferred requirements and experience:
Experience in designing programming for impact
5-8 years of professional experience, preferably in leadership development, managing events and partnerships across sectors
Proven track record of working with senior stakeholders in business, government, academia and international organizations, as well as youth from across sectors
Ability to manage complex, cross-team projects and to work efficiently and effectively across multiple priorities
Proficiency in MS Office/Excel/PowerPoint and Salesforce; interest in digital engagement and collaboration tools
Digital native who is at ease working with a wide variety of digital and social media platforms
Native-level proficiency in spoken and written English; other languages, particularly French and/ or German, an asset
Team-player and self-starter, who enjoys working in a highly dynamic setting with a matrix environment
