Marketing Executive

Critical Software provides technology for some of the most important industries in the world, helping clients to meet the most demanding standards for performance and reliability. Two decades ago, our first client was NASA. Today, we work in sectors as diverse as energy, aerospace, transport, healthcare and more.

As part of our exciting growth, we’re looking for a dynamic, charismatic and extraordinary Marketing Executive to do spectacular things helping us to build brand love. If you’re super-organised, a great writer, full of ideas and able to inspire others, then this could be the role you’ve been waiting for.

To be clear: this is no ordinary communications role. We’re looking for someone special – someone who has a flair for the English language and is comfortable writing about technology, people and everything in between. Cultural fit is important too – we’re an energetic Marketing department looking for talented individuals who share our passion for doing a great job. We’re also a company that cares deeply about its values.

Naturally, all the usual stuff applies. You’ll love working with people, be a natural communicator, as well as a planner, a doer and a go-getter. Under your influence, things run like clockwork. But you’re no clock-watcher. You bring spark, energy and star-quality to what you do, inspiring success with a smile and delivering first-class, creative content.

You’ll be responsible for helping to create and deliver the very best brand, marketing and communications content for our international audiences.

Your role:

  • Develop outstanding written content and ideas that exhibit a real flair for communications - including flyers, white papers, blogs, websites, articles, reports, brochures, presentations, ad copy, internal comms and more.
  • Help to devise original and inspirational communications campaigns in line with company objectives.
  • Show a keen eye for detail and first-class proofing skills – driving not just grammar, but ensuring things read well and captivate.
  • Help to research and plan marketing activities with a difference.
  • Track, measure and report on activities and campaigns and proactively look for improvements wherever possible.

  • Imaginative: you come with confident, fresh, exciting ideas and inspire others.
  • Creative: you love the English language and communicate with flair, precision and originality.
  • Pragmatic: you turn great ideas into even better realities, delivering real results.
  • Organised: you show excellent organisational skills and a keen eye for detail.
  • Empathetic: you naturally ‘get’ people and what makes them tick.
  • Principled: you act with honesty, decency and integrity, earning people’s trust.

  • A relevant degree or equivalent experience.
  • First-class English language skills – both spoken and written.
  • Availability to travel for short periods of time.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

  • Some previous marketing or communications experience.
