  • Responsible for overall Welding department and take care of Welding production and quality.
  • Preparation of WPS / PQR /ITP as per the requirement.
  • Subcontractor follow up on schedule, quality and inspection for structural and tank jobs, Sand Blasting, Painting , Rollling of Shells.
  • Will be as an Internal Auditor and focal point for all external audits.


  • QA/AC engineer shall review the contract relevant to QA/QC activities, codes and standards.
  • Review Scope of work  and prepare ITP with the applicable codes and service (e.g. ASME B31.3 fluid service category)
  • Review of Material List including ASTM/ASME material specification numbers, grades, schedules, classes and size provided.
  • Welding procedures (Owner’s or Contractor’s) are reviewed and qualified for the job and written permission received for using owner’s welding procedures .
  • Degree and type of non destructive examination (NDE) and type of pressure test is defined and responsibility is assigned.


  • Defining responsibilities for Quality Systems functions.
  • To issue Quality system manuals, owner’s specifications, drawings, quality system forms, material list, purchase orders, calibration records, etc to the OCI
  • To ensure that each individual assigned to perform Quality System function is to competent and fully understand all applicable requirements referred to in the Quality System Manual.
  • To review completed records for compliance with the code, Owner’s specification and this quality system.
  • Prepare and sign the Construction Data Report of Certificate of Conformance for all spools and / or complete systems constructed, repaired or altered by MPSI present form to the Owner’s Inspector signature.
  • Forward the construction data report required by the contract.
  • To verify that welding procedures have been accepted by the owner for the scope of work indicated in the design specifications before the start of work.
  • All non conformities relating to completed pressure piping shall be corrected or eliminated before completed component can be considered to comply with the code.
