JOB DESCRIPTION
|
- Ensure that Company owned vessels and contractor vessels (if any) are operated in a safe, efficient, economical manner and in full compliance with company, local, and international standards and regulations.
- Liaise with the Superintendents, Port authorities, and vessel Masters with reference to Certification and Safety.
- Monitor vessels crew compliance with all necessary training requirements and certifications.
- Ensure that vessels carry the required publications, procedures, operations manual, and all other documents required by local and international regulatory bodies. Ensure that the same are updated as required.
- Ensure that guidelines and best industry practices are adhered to at all times, with regard to vessel operations, equipment and personnel requirements.
- Ensure that the vessels equipment is in fully operational state of readiness at all times.
- Participate in vessel inspections and providing accurate reports indicating vessels current equipment, machinery, structural and operational status.
- Participating in HSEQ and stopping and reporting any unsafe acts and also reporting on good safe working practices are observed.
- Monitor the performance of sub-contractors services to vessel operation (eg. Consumables, catering) and liasing with sub-contractors to report, discuss and implement any corrective actions considered necessary.
- Assist in the internal and external audits of vessel working on the project.
- Ensure that the Company HSEQ policy and procedures are strictly implemented in all work locations.
- Study Health, Safety, and Environmental protection aspects of equipment, tools, and materials.
- Ensure that the company HSEQ policies are implemented.
- Follow up the implementation of the recommendations arising from safety audits, inspections, accident investigations and safety meetings.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCY
|
Qualified candidates should possess the following skills and competencies:
- Must be proficient in the English language
- Must have Intermediate Computer Skills
- A well-established and proven track record of work experience in marine operation field (Management Level).
